1 Pazazz apple, grated
2 tsp garlic paste
2 thinly sliced green onions
1.2 pounds ground 93% ground turkey
½ pound ground turkey breakfast sausage
½ tsp kosher salt
¼ tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
6 slices Swiss cheese
6 bakery fresh Hy-Waiian buns, sliced in half
3 cups baby arugula or spinach leaves
12 thin slices Pazazz apple
6 slices red onion
3 tbsp stone ground mustard
In a bowl, combine grated apple, garlic paste, green onions, ground turkey, ground turkey sausage, salt and pepper. Form into 6 patties.
Heat a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and swirl around pan. Add turkey burgers and cook until an internal temperature of 165º is reached. Top each burger with a slice of Swiss cheese.
To assemble, top the bottom half of the bun with greens, apple slices and turkey burger. Top with red onions. Spread whole grain mustard on top bun and top the red onions with bun. Repeat for remaining five burgers and serve. Serves 6
