Slow Cooker Pazazz Apple Chicken


1 tbsp canola oil
2 – 2.5 lbs Hy-Vee True Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
2 Pazazz apples, sliced (additional for garnish, if desired)
1 medium yellow onion, sliced (additional for garnish, if desired)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 cup Jaymo’s Classic Barbeque sauce
¼ cup 100% Hy-Vee Apple Juice
1 tbsp honey
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ chopped parsley, for garnish
1 cup wild rice, prepare according to package instructions


Pour canola oil on bottom of slow cooker or use a slow cooker liner. Place chicken breasts on bottom of slow cooker.

Add garlic cloves, Jaymo’s barbeque sauce, apple juice, honey, salt and pepper to slow cooker. Slice onion and place on top of chicken breasts.

Cook covered for 2 hours on high. Add Pazazz apples, cover and cook for an additional 1 – 1.5 hours on high.

Prepare wild rice as instructed. Serve chicken, Pazazz apples and onion over wild rice. Garnish with parsley and additional Pazazz apple slices and onion slices as desired.
