Pile of apple fritters situated on a white plate. They are drizzled with sugar glaze and a sprinkling of powdered sugar. A Pazazz apple sits to the left of the plate and to the upper right. A red apple box sits at the top of the image. All of this is set against a white background.

Our Countertop’s Pazazz Apple Fritters

1 cup (128g) all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch teaspoon salt
Juice from ½ of a lemon
2 -3 cups Pazazz apples, peeled, cored, and diced
2 tablespoons sugar
2 large eggs, room temperature
¼ cup (61g) whole milk
Vegetable oil for frying

1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp vanilla
4 tsp milk

Begin by filling a frying pan with oil and heat over medium-low, or until 375. While oil is heating, start mixing your ingredients.

Mix together the baking powder, flour, cinnamon for the fritters, and salt. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, mix together the apples and lemon juice.

In the bowl of a mixer, mix together the sugar and eggs on medium speed until fully combined. Add in the flour mixture in two parts. Mix on low. Slowly add the milk while still mixing.

Fold in the apples.

Using an ice cream scoop, drop the batter into the frying oil and fry on each side until golden brown. They go pretty quick, so be careful!

Transfer to a rack to let the vegetable oil drip off.

Mix together powdering sugar and cinnamon. Slowly add milk until it’s a glaze consistency. We topped the fritters with the glaze, a little powdered sugar, and extra cinnamon. Enjoy!
